Alrighty, I’m holding a contest for all pokémon drawing artists out there! The theme will be a double battle, two pokémon vs. two pokémon, or more specifically, Amber and I vs. you and another character of your choices as pokémon. How will you fair organizing such a picture, actually, I’m just curious what everyone will come up, there’s so much that can be done! Ok, rules now!

Rules / Requirements

Deadline: deadline will be a week and a half after this journal is posted, so the 25th of July. If people are late with entries, a poll will decide any possible extensions (this is mostly so I can have time to make the prizes before school starts again).

All characters must be pokémon! It’s a pokémon battle after all.

For Amber and I, we have a specific selection of pokémon that you can choose from. However, I do ask if you draw one of us as Plusle/Minun, that the other also be Plusle/Minun, other wise can choose from any pokémon we have drawn ourselves!

For you, you must draw yourself as a pokémon and one other as your team mate. The other person can be a friend you’d like to include or another character of yours. So long as they are pokémon, then you’re, fine, that’s the point! If you’re alternately colored, that’s fine too since so are my pokesonas, but please no made up pokémon or added limbs, etc.

Violence level: Since it’s a pokémon battle, obviously there is going to be violence, I mean come on, your throwing lightning and fire at each other or whatever attacks. If it has to be matured by DA, then it’s too violent. Keep it to about what is allowed on the anime itself. Blood I don’t mind much if you want it, since animals do bleed and pokémon should too, but please no limbs, appendages, whatever severed off.

Important: All contest entries must be drawn by you! Digital or traditional is fine. No edited sprites or edited line art from anyone else (that also means no templates).

Helpful tip: Just because Amber and I are holding the contest does not mean you have to draw us winning the battle, it won’t effect you in the contest. I do want whatever done to be tasteful, and more specifically, to be in the middle of the match or start of a match to show attacks being done. Example would be one partner shooting off a move and the other defending one from the opposing team. Just, think of a double pokémon battle and how it’d play out, so you can get an idea of what you want to draw.

Whatever pokémon you choose of us, since you will be drawing attacks, each pokémon is limited to the possible moves learned (so that means my Pikachu form can use Volt Tackle, Thunder, etc. and Amber’s Eevee can use Last Resort, Tackle, etc., or better yet your pokémon whatever moves that are learnable). It’s really up to you; it’s going to be cool to see what gets made.

Amber and I will be the main judges for any final decisions, but I will post polls of the participants to be voted for. So, there will be a point system, points for votes, points of vote-comments in those polls, and the votes she and I make.

Prizes will be the following:

A fully detailed picture with a max of four characters in it (since four pokémon are in the entries) and a background of course. This can prize can be picked twice, the second time with half the characters in it.

A single paged comic strip made with characters of your choice in mind (slightly less detailed than the picture since it’s a comic, but it will be longer because it’s a comic).

A written story request: given characters you want written about, I’ll take a wack at writing a small story for you given you tell me what you want written. It will be about as long as the average Part chapter.

A flash dress-up for a character of your choice: Yes, I can make them

Prizes are decided a bit differently on purpose. Only one can be chosen of each (except the first) by the three winners, but they get to pick in the order of their contest place.

Two at the moment are planned, a boy named Cymric and a girl named Namira, but that's what we want, chances of having a boy and girl in a row are slim, but we'll just pray that what happens goes with God's will.

My first name was just one my mom really liked for no reason at all. Middle name is my dad's middle name.

There are probably a few things in general about the opposite sex that are a turn off, but none of such I think I have to worry about with the one I plan to be with.

In general, they kinda do, it's not that I'm shallow, one shouldn't judge other's on looks, but in truth really fat people creep me out (sorry) and I think a second nose would also make me uncomfortable.

Sometimes I don't release it, I bottle it up, sometimes I just let it gradually eb away, other times I just take a nap (one always feels better after sleeping). There are many ways to release it, but I don't release it on someone if I can help it, that's rude.

If I gain that much weight, I'll be uncomfortable with myself for becoming fat again, if I lose that much weight I'll be a skeleton and dangerously unhealthy. Tough call, it's easier to gain weight than lose it though... bleh.

About thirty minutes ago, I was with my dad going to the store to get Coffee Creamer (parents need that creamer, hah hah..)

A brown shirt that has chapstick on it and says "my lips hurt really bad", boxer-briefs with American Flags on it, and jean shorts that are a bit too short for this tall guy.

I did actually, I dreamed I was with Amber again, we were in her room but we were on two computers instead helping each other coloring collaborations we were doing. She also for some reason uploaded some drawings of us that... well, shouldn't be on DA, or the net, ever. *laughs*

11. When did you last laugh?
Last time I really laughed? I guess when I was talking to my mom yesterday about Amber and I liking a lot of the same foods, I was waving my arms and was all excited and my mom pointed out how much I really must have liked her considering she saw this, and I chuckled cause it was true!

12. What are on the walls of the room you are in?
Light blue walls, calender, posters, paintings, speakers, pictures from college and high school, and lots and lots of weapons, there's Tons of stuff on my walls!

13. Seen anything weird lately?
I saw this really grotesque looking beast come in my house yesterday, it was wearing glasses and almost looked human, it was following my sister- Oh wait, that was my little sister's boyfriend, never mind, nothing weird lately.

Last film was The Tigger Movie, but I wasn't paying attention to it, the one I did pay attention to was Spirit.

16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
Quite a lot actually, some of it selfish, some of it not. If it was my money, I would actually share it with my family, and make decisions from there. Our family plan if we suddenly became rich:
First thing, pay for our house, and the one vehicle we're still making payments on.
Step two, vehicles, my dad needs a new truck like there's no tomorrow (his has hundreds of thousands of miles on it, and broken down now), it would also be nice to fix up one of our other cars, pay for the one we have, and then get a small environment friendly commute car, no matter how small, so can drive to and from my college without problem.
I'd also pay for college in full, and rent an apartment next to my campus where me and my college buddies can focus on our studies (I would also give them a donation to pay for college without them knowing it).
Step three, new house for the family, would also get one close for my brother, his fiancé and six month old daughter. We would then donate the house we had to a church so families that don't have much money could stay there for free until they can earn enough to afford their own home.
Skipping through all other steps, cause there's a lot I'd want to do so my family can have better, but if I had that much money suddenly overnight, I'd purchase a plane ticket tomorrow and stay with Amber the rest of my summer. *snickers* Really, I would! My family can do what they want with the money (I trust them). Blah blah, yeah.

17. Tell me something about you that I don't know about you.
Well, I don't know who you are, journal question writer, but a random fact of my past is I did not like rock music or techno or any kind of music really up until Middle School. So really, I've only been getting into music since the beginning of High School, before that, I didn't know the name of a single band, and to this date I probably have less music than anyone that comments in this journal.

18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
There's a lot I could change, example being making laws against people being hateful liars stealing and all that, but can't change people's will, no matter what. So instead, I would force the world to stop using gasoline and switch to a transportation that will stop making it so freaking hot outside! Really though, I don't know about Hydrogen or those other sources, cause we'd become just as dependent on them, but I'm sure there is a way to develop a vehicle that perhaps can work on kinetic energy, say passengers have to pedal in the back to generate electricity that is tripled by magnets and gets original energy from solar panels. It would probably look weird, but would work better perhaps, who knows.

Wait, no, that would probably never happen, instead, I want trees to constantly be planted everywhere so there is shade all over the world, maybe that would do stuff. *shrugs* I'm going away from this question now.

I dance in front of my body mirror, I don't know if DDR counts, but it's fun to move your body to the beat.
